  1. Here are some crappy videos. The box does have an air leak which could be the cause.
  2. Thanks for the good feedback!
  3. He shipped promptly Item was as described, always returned PMs promptly kept in touch throughout the whole processs. Pleasant to deal with also. The Item i bought was an Audioque 2200d he packaged it extremely well item arrived on time. BanginGMC was a great truthful seller. Also the payment was a money order because I do not have paypal, but he accepted my moneyorder and promptly shipped the amp the same day. I was glad he dealt with me since this is my first online person to person buy. But all I have to say is it was a positive experience and I appreciated the updates and thorough packaging overall great seller and business associate.
  4. Sorry for the lack of vids. I got drunk and left my camera in the car and honestly just don't wanna walk out there now. I'll let them start uploading tomorrow though. And sorry BanginGMC I was to excited to take pics, but to anyone whos curious it was well so well packaged to the point of being annoying, but it was relieving to know that the amp could be thrown from a building and come out fine.
  5. Well Ill check that later. I tried to upload the video but it was to long. That ground is good I checked it with a DMM. Next on the list are batteries, componet set, amp, and definately some sound deadener. Ill take a good video later since that ones to long, but I gotta go to the junkyard to get a oxygen sensor now ill post the video up before the days over since im off work today. Thanks for the input Edit: I think it could be cone slap because it seems like the sound comes from under the cone, what would fix or cause this?
  6. Video uploading now!
  7. Im pretty sure thats not it because it does is on low power also its just not as noticable, Ive heard a sub bottom out before its not really like that I think its tinsel slap from what Ive read but I really am not sure. Im positive its not that also because It did it when I hooked it up to my kicker 300.1 (300 watts rms) tomorrow ill take a video of it.
  8. I got the amp installed and my first thoughts were WOW its loud as fuck. I honestly thought it would be louder though but on the downside my sub makes a loud slapping sound . Other than that it sounds good digs the lows and sets off alarms. Its freaking awesome! I was driving through a neighborhood and set an alarm off on an F-250. My voltage stays at about 13.3-4 on a long bass note like in BME click. Ill take pics in vids tomorrow in the daylight. It also made my license plate screw fall out. And to BanginGMC unwrapping that serious ass packing you did was the longest 40 seconds of my life.
  9. Yea unfortunately and its gonna be 95* tomorrow with like 93% humidity, Its so hot I cant roll down my windows to smoke without sweatin my balls off.
  10. Just watch your voltage and dont crank it to the max before you get the batts. in. I wouldnt run it below 12.5 in any case. I definately won't run it that low. Im gonna see how it does and as long as it doesn't dip below 13v with the air off ill be good for a little while.
  11. On the left and right of the box in that area behind the wheel wells. Hopefully I won't F*** anything up running it before the batteries get in with super low voltage. That still reminds me I need a voltmeter Ill crank it up and watch my voltage with my DMM for a while to see how goes at first though. I have a feeling I'll be late for work messing with this thing tomorrow .
  12. Ive heard that before about the rear deck cutting but I didn't think about the speakers getting messed up. Im gonna see how it sounds but I'll probably end up gutting the rear deck. Thanks for the heads up though. Also next projects for this car will be batteries and mids and highs. Im probably gonna go with a componet set in the front but it will be a while because Ill have to get an amp too. Ill see how it sounds tomorrow though.
  13. What the fuck? Yea I lol'ed when he said that. On another note here are some pics: Random bag of nuts I found in my trunk Before the carpets in place. The ground All the wires ran under the carpet. Ill cut them to length once I get the amp mounted.
  14. Well all wiring is ran and all I gotta do is hook the amp up tomorrow when it arrives. UPS is saying its on schedule so Ill charge the camera tonight and there will be more pics and videos tomorrow. Also snapped some pics of the final install minus the amp but my cameras dead, pics will be up in a little while though.
  15. I stated in my OP that I don't believe in capacitors and I wouldn't use one if it was free. I was just curious to hear some oppinions or if anyone had any first hand experience. Also i thought there had to be something useful about it for that much damn money.
  16. Are there any tips to identify options or a serial number that could be used to identify these? I have an 18 I got used and was just curious about this.
  17. I honestly said the same thing when I saw the price. I was just curious about it. Damn 7 replies in like 20 min. So im guessing you all have heard the "hype" or not?
  18. CAP50 - Alumapro 50 Farad Capacitor/Distribution Center Whats your oppinions on these? This guy I work with used to be a car audio installer, and we were talking today and he was swearing by this saying that is was better than a regular capacitor, better than a battery. He was saying it keeps your voltage at 14.4 no matter what. I was just wondering if anyone here has used them or has any first hand experience them offer up your oppinions. No I don't believe in capacitors Im not a cap fanatic or anything but he swore up and down it was different so I just figured it'd be worth it to get you guys oppinions.
  19. This would be why no one t/s parameter can be relied on to determine woofer quality? Also why there's no "perfect" woofer?
  20. Foxbody bigblock swap FTMFW!
  21. You will be fine as long as your SSF is set right.
  22. Thanks for the info Inkfx. Yea it was just regular flat black spray spraypaint, the cheap crap at walmart, I guess all the fumes stayed in the box thats why it did what it did. It scared the shit out of me, I lit the lighter to look at it then a huge ball of fire just shot out the port, I got lucky that all i got was my hand burned because it singed the hell out of my hair on my head and burnt off my beard. Its all good though, some things you gotta learn the hard way.
  23. Nice color. Clean install
  24. Here are a couple pics I'll get more later there in reverse order. Heres where I had to drill into the trunk. wires running under the car. The pic of the port is to show where the carpet got melted when I was painting it then it exploded . This is why everything is hard, its been about a week since the burn.
