Easily Removable Subwoofer?
a box should be super easy to remove if you build with a terminal cup in it. All i have to do to remove mine is unhook the speaker wire then lift it out. So as long as your box isn't shoehorned in there or bolted down you should be fine.

Easily Removable Subwoofer?
Letting us know how much space you have would be helpful also some pics would be nice. If you don't mind rigging it you could mount your amp somewhere then just take your box out when you need to, but once again im unfamiliar with your trunk space.

Electrical help
ok thanks. Do you think 150amps would be able to support 1000-1500 watts rms?

Electrical help
well everything was fine until i put the amp in then about 2 months later the alt quit charging so i went to the junkyard and got one then that one went in about 2 weeks. I just thought it was a weak stock alt, its only 65amps total.

Electrical help
Hello I have an 86 Crown Vic with a currently fried stock 65 amp alt. I replaced the stock one with a stock replacement junkyard alt about three weeks ago. And it went out again yesterday. I plan on upgrading in the future but for now i plan on doing the big three when i have the chance, Im hoping that will help my alt last a little longer. Im running a kicker 300.1 now to 1 sub. In the future i want to upgrade my system. I was looking at this alt:http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MCI-N7755-11HO/ and was wondering if that alternator would be enough to support maybe 1000-1500 wrms? Thanks for the help.

How to determine enclosure frequency
Ok so i figured out these dimensions that give me a tuning frequency of 33.5hz A volume of 3.97 cubes after subtracting sub displacement, and i think that the RE calculator automatically subtracts port volume. Another question is are the measurements i input to the calculator Internal or external? Anyone have experience with this calculator that can answer? Thinks alot for the help.

How to determine enclosure frequency
Ok thanks. I just don't know if ill have access to a router to make circle cuts. thats why i was going to use a slot port. I just have to figure out how to determine the size of a port.

How to determine enclosure frequency
Well i was planning on making it bigger because if i remember right nick at IA told me it should be around 4 cubes optimal. Is there an advantage of using aero ports? A slot port would be easier. the dimensions i listed were after subtracting the material. If i change the interior dimensions to 17"x23"x20" that makes the total inner volume 4.5 cubes. Would that leave me enough room to give it the proper port to tune it any where from 32-36hz? I have enough room to go an inch or two bigger on the height or width if need be?

What's the best way to build a box?
How do you all cut the mounting hole for the sub? Router? If you don't have a router is there another way to do it?

How to determine enclosure frequency
Well im going to build a new box thursday. Could somone here please help me with a design. I just want something simple atleast 4 cubes net, and tuned to 33hz instead of the ridiculous 53hz its tuned to now. I was also wondering if i would notice any more lower end output and I wanted to make sure its worth the trouble to rebuild a box. I didn't want to clutter the boards thats why i didn't start a new topic. But thanks for your time and if you need anymore info just let me know.

How to determine enclosure frequency
Would i be able to Take off the ports and go with a new port design? Like replacing only the wall the sub mounts in and taking out the old ones. Would i notice more output at lower frequencies if the box was tuned to around say 35hz? thanks for the info.

How to determine enclosure frequency
Well the 57hz tuning would explain while its so much louder on higher bass frequencys. I guess i messed up when designing it. And the demensions are all after i subtracted 1.5" for the Material. Its a real shame i phucked up the box design because its a super nice box. Heres a pic.

How to determine enclosure frequency
This is a picture i tried to draw in paint but for some reason it came out small. The inside dememsions are Depth 16" Width 21" Height 20" I dont know if i measured the port length right or not but i showed how i got it in the pic. Its 12" The box is 3.9 cubes

Incriminator Audio 187 15" Review
This sub is great. It is my first sub but ive heard other setups with 2 10's or 2 12's and its been louder or just as loud as the ones i hear with low but tight bass I have it in 4 cubes net with 64" of port area powered by a kicker 300.1. I cant wait to get a bigger amp to see how this thing handles it. Also i would recommend this product in a heartbeat especially for 130 shipped. Sorry if this isn't a great review but thats why i didn't start a new topic for it just thought some more input would be nice. Also i almost forgot to add how helpful Nick at IA was in answering all my noob questions promptly and completely and my sub arrived in about ten days.

I dont mean to jack the thread but what about the CRX makes it such a great spl platform. What if any charateristics should one look for in an spl oriented vehicle. Once again sorry for hijacking the thread and just thought this didn't deserve its on thread.
