  1. I know that Argent Audio builds custom enclosures. For the tuning and volume id follow the specs given on sundowns website.
  2. I have one xover under the dash, and the other ones mounted inside the glove box, there are plenty of suitable places just gotta be creative.
  3. If you need power at 2 ohms, then its hard to beat the Audiopipe 3k for $350, there only 2 ohm stable in mono, so get 2 of them for around $700.
  4. So yall are doing this on the ford 6g alts? Wouldn't this shorten the life of the alt, by causing the alt to work harder to produce the higher voltage? And if yall are using the ford 6g alts, then what color is the wire that "senses" the batt voltage?
  5. How much do the neo 8s sell for, and do you like them in a 2 way setup? I checked the SSA store with no luck. Also kudos on another nice TC man.
  6. i didnt take pics of what i cut.. but on the back of the door pannels it has a 5x7 shape on the door pannel its self.. so that it meshes with the factory location so the 5x7 is kinda sealed to the pannle... i shaved that flat, used two 8 inch MDF rings.. mounted siliconed, and then dropped my speaker in and put the door skin on.. the driver side took me alot more time(it was the first) i had to mount it a few times..put the door back togather.. then try again,,, 3 times... the passenger side i got it with out shaving.. but then when i got my amp installed it made noise.. so i took it off shaved it and it worked fine. Thanks for the reply. Thats kinda what I had to do when I put my crescendo 6.5s in the door make a ring then mount panel, shave repeat. Can I ask why you made 2 mounting rings? So you used 2 3/4" a few reasons.. it was the only way the basket would sit into the 5x7 hole and its an 8 so its a little deep, and the depth on these cars is shallow. so to insure i had depth, (so the window would roll down) and do make it to where i did not have to cut the sheet metel in the door up. So you used 2 3/4" rings per door to allow the magnet structure to clear the door and cut and shaved the inner plastic panel to allow the cone side of the 8 to clear? Also how loud are those 8s compared to a normal 6.5 comp set?

  8. Im really interested in how you got those 8s to fit behind the door panel, because I know the TC door panels are similar to mine on the inside. Did you have to cut a large amount out? Also from what the video showed it sounded great.
  9. Welcome. Im from Olive branch, MS right below Memphis as well.
  10. Tinting your own windows isn't that difficult until you get to the back curved glass. I tinted mine using the wal mart tint, and it hasn't faded and doesn't look purple, but I won't use it again because it has a tendency to have the microscopic bubbles.
  11. I used to have a jensen H/U, it worked as long as I had the car, but it was absolute trash I hated it. IMO for H/Us id stick with Clarion, Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer, or Eclipse there all known brands that have quality products. Some good sites to find cheap stuff: www.audiosavings.com www.sonicelectronix.com www.woofersect.com
  12. I like it. How low does funky town go?
  13. What is your definition of SQ? I have an 18" BTL and have heard it against BLs and Qs all ported, and Besides having more output it sounded just as good as the Q and Bl.

  18. SSA seems like a great line of subs, and ive yet to hear a bad review, but Why not keep your options open. BTL, Lvl 4xl, Crossfire subs, Orion HCCA. Im not knocking the SSA subs, but there are other options.
  19. Have anything for a Ford SOHC 4.6?
  20. I think if sealed properly you would notice a gain.
  21. Must be a cool wife.
  22. Awesome build man
  23. Look into crescendo components.
  24. They sell plastic battery boxes by the batteries in wal-mart.
