Posted July 18, 200718 yr hey guys new to this site and new to car audio and i just bought 2 mj-18 svc 4 ohm and i want to know what amp out there is the best to push these subs i want something to give them 700 watts a piece or more if they can take them dont really know alot about the car audio game so all the help i can get will be great

July 18, 200718 yr hey guys new to this site and new to car audio and i just bought 2 mj-18 svc 4 ohm and i want to know what amp out there is the best to push these subs i want something to give them 700 watts a piece or more if they can take them dont really know alot about the car audio game so all the help i can get will be greati also want to know whats the smallest you can go ported and still sound goodOn a budget a good amp 2 have @ 2ohms would be a HiFonics BXI1606D look for them on E-bay you can find them for around $250 but if you want the absolute best you could strap 2 Sundown Audio SAE-1000D you'd have to contact SSA for your best price on those. About the box I wouldn't do anything smaller than whats recommended which I think is 4.5 each so I wouldn't stray to far from that. Hope that helped!

July 18, 200718 yr Just give the MJ18's 500 watts RMS a piece, anymore won't harm the subs, but it won't give you anymore bass either.I recommend AT LEAST 3cf sealed per sub as well.
