Posted July 26, 200718 yr I will be building a box for 2 18" BTLs in a Tahoe. The subs will point up of course, but what about the port. Should I port up or back? I am not to sure as this is my first build for an SUV. I have heard back before, but have seen some greats like Meade do both and am unsure myself. Lastly, do you think this setup will hit real hard. Lookin for some pretty high numbers, as is everyone probably is though.
July 26, 200718 yr Port back and as low to the floor as possible. I’m saying in Bass Race on music... High 140s. Depends on the box and amount of wattage Edited July 26, 200718 yr by spl explorer
July 26, 200718 yr Author I will probably throw about 3k watts to each. If money permits and i get this job i am goin for at the hospital, then I will try and attempt a Meade performance and throw 4 18's in it, but that all depends on if i get this job or not.
July 26, 200718 yr Well if you do go for a Meade performance you got to create a build log with lots of pix!
July 26, 200718 yr yeai would love to see pics of this build and any others u do im learning myself and all pics are very helpful i think my first build might be this weekend
July 26, 200718 yr That would be pretty cool. I would like to see how it comes out either way. Hope you get your job so you can go all out, lol. Edited July 26, 200718 yr by truckaudioman
July 26, 200718 yr Author Thanks truck. Yeah, I hope it all does work out. If it does, I will have to build a little enclosure for like 2 of the 18's in order to learn more about fiberglass. I should do that for my girls explorer. That way i get some good knowledge in on using fiberglass. I would prefer using it in order to airbrush my trademark tribal designs on it. that would be pimp.Another note, anyone know where I can find some good info on doing fiberglass enclosures......Thanks Edited July 26, 200718 yr by Xibalba
