I have an Assassin 8 that the cone separated from the motor. Im looking for info on getting it warrantied or reconed or getting a discount on a new assassin. Just something,lmao. I was running 400w to it, I had 4 of them on a hifonics brutus 1600. Wanged on daily but not to the point of distortion. Any info or something would be helpful. I just have a useless little sub sitting on my counter I want to help! Lol. Thanks

I think he meant that the cone seperated from the voice coil, I've seen it happen before but not with 400 watts.

I can recone them, but I dont think I have the original cone for them (same cone body, different surround). It will be a slight mix of old and new, but perform the same. I will say that 400W is too much power for that little sub... but I believe Chad used to rate them at 350W, stating that 150W is a good number to use for daily (or something along those lines).

scott, approximately how much would a recone on an assassin 8 cost? how much for return shipping to WA state?

Im assuming you are in HI? Looking like $25 via USPS priority (the least expensive method I could find) plus $30 for it to be reconed. Kind of rough $$$ wise considering how cheap Chad used to sell them for... sorry
