Right now i have my 2 Q 12's in a 5^ft @ 33hz with 71sqin of port box.

I was wondering if I built another box same size and tuning(might tune to 32hz) but with 80sqin of port would i notice any difference in sound?

Most likely not... with 5 cuft and 71 sqin of port, you are within our normall 12-16 sqin of port recommendation. Going from 32-33 would make a minimal change as well that would be measureable, but probably not audible.

If you had the ports radiused inside and out, it would probably flow about the same as the 80sqin... and flow is what you are going for.

With that being said I shouldnt notice a difference going from 71^2 to 61^2(trying to save space) of port should I?

Basicly I wanna go from my slot port to 2 6" Areo Prots.

so what do you think of 116 sq inches of port for a 15" Q in a 2.5 cubic foot box after displacements

Way too big, if your doing spl sure, but for musical/daily listening you needa keep in the ballpark figure of 12-16sq inches of port per cubic foot of volume...

Thanks!
