I just recived my fi Q 15 today and when I opened the box the first thing that I noticed was a big fat smudge on the laminated cone part of the sub. The cone has a 1.5 in by 3 in part that is not shiny just looks like paper. It almost looks like the bottom side of someone's hand got one it while it was still wet. I wasn't to worried about that affecting the performace but then I looked at the back side of the cone one the opposide side of where the the smudge is and the paper is significantly thinner than the rest of the cone. It is also about the same size as the smudge maybe a little smaller. Needless to say that worries me a lil because it looks like a real weak spot. I don't know if I should be worried, but I am not happy with the way it looks. Not sure if I should send it back. thought that I would get your input.

I wouldn't sweat it, I'm sure FI will be good to you with what ever you two come up with. They are great guys over there. NOT TO WORRY.

Please send me pics of it to [email protected]. As Im not usually building the subs (setting coils and maching all parts now) so I dont see everything that gets finished. My guys are always really good about parts selection, but I do have two new/newer people that might not know or pay as much attention as my other lifers do.

If you arent as concerned about the cosmetic side of things, Id run it as is. If it ever becomes a problem Ill gladly send a free kit out to replace it or you can send it it for us to recone. So... I guess that means if you ever get a wild hair and decide to beat it to death, you have a get out of jail free card

Hey Scott, I emailed you twice and haven't got a reply.

I think Scott is a little behind on his emails, he mentioned that in another thread. But, you basicly just got a free pass from the owner, I would keep the sub and run it as is, if a problem developes, Scott WILL take care of you.

Yeah im planning on running it, I guess i'm just not use to this level of customer service. I heard it was good but WOW! I had no Idea that they took care customers this well. I've been telling everyone I know about FI.
