August 13, 200718 yr Look for used rack amps on forums and ebay, particularly the brand QSC and Crown.
August 13, 200718 yr Author Look for used rack amps on forums and ebay, particularly the brand QSC and Crown.I do not have a rack to mount it so I was trying to shy away from them.I don't really like the tabs. I guess I could grind them off.
August 13, 200718 yr I personally wouldn't grind them off, that would knock the resale value down quite a bit.
August 13, 200718 yr simplest rack i could come up with : there are 3 holes in the side panels : 2 in front, for cooling and 1 in the back, for the wiresbuilt it in one afternoon.
August 13, 200718 yr http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cf...tnumber=300-810$50 over budget but it also has all the needed filters and doesnt have "tabs" that are noticableThe auto on/off is nice too
September 11, 200718 yr Did you ever find a suitable subwoofer amp? How about a Behringer EP2500? These can be found on-line for $300 shipped. They pump out a very clean 850x2 (rated at 1200x2) into 2 Ohms. They'll run all day at 850x2.
September 11, 200718 yr He didn't want rack-mountable amps for some reason, for $300 I'd rather have a used Crown over a Behringer.
