Hey guys new here ....

Just wondering if someone can explain to me what the different options are that are available ...

P chamfer, cooling, flatwind, Hixm Coil, 3rd magnet ..... etc

When are they necessary? ...

anybody have pics to go along with it?

I'm interested in buying a loud setup probably 2-12" BL's that still maintain a little sq

TIA

The pole chamfer is to aid cooling of the coil, if you're going to be using it daily at or above its rated power I'd opt for it.

Flatwound coils increase power handling and enclosure size compared to the copper coils, but if I were buying the subs for a musical application I'd use copper. Just my opinion, you might not be as picky.

High Xmax coils and a 3rd magnet are useful if you play a lot of low frequency material, more mechanical travel is your friend when you're trying to reproduce things at 30Hz or below.
