August 21, 200718 yr Yep! Lot of birthsheets around saying the same. They sell them on the store here too.
August 21, 200718 yr http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/showth...hlight=RockfordRemember too, that it is class A/B power, and birthsheets are great marketing tools... but these are solid amps that I was considering before I picked up the PDX's.
August 21, 200718 yr I run mine off of a 50x2 amp (piece of crap Sony) & I have the gain temp set at 1/4 & attenuated @ the deck by -8dB.Not sure why you need two of them?
August 21, 200718 yr Author 8 up front and 8 in the back(cargo)im not gonna argue what im doing. i was simply asking about the amps.
August 21, 200718 yr Admin 8 up front and 8 in the back(cargo)im not gonna argue what im doing. i was simply asking about the amps.lol, stand your groundas far as the amps, I love those things, I've been eye balling them every time I go to my distributor. They have stacks of them. Once their gone though, their gone! Can't think of any use I would have for them. I saw a few birth sheets on the punch 150 around 800-900w RMS! For a $200 dollar amp, can't beat it.
August 22, 200718 yr as much as i dont want to admit it...yes they do rated power and yes they are cheap as hell.mine does 300 @ 4 ohmsit was my dirty little secret in hopes that i would have enough cash to buy another one down the road, but alas the secret it out.
August 23, 200718 yr Author got 2 Punch45's and 2 Punch150s on the way!!!!you think theses amps could be run @ 1.6 ohm per channel (rated to go to 2 ohm only...) for mids and highs?also, how is the current draw on these? Edited August 23, 200718 yr by pimpedout97x
August 23, 200718 yr Your 1.6 comment will really depend on the speakers. If the specs are off a bit I would say no, unless they are off in the other direction. If you actually measured the 1.6 I would say you are okay, but I know you didn't and I am not referring to DCR either.
