i blew a voice coil in my 15" btl, how much are recones and is reconing it difficult?

Depending on what option(s) you have...ballpark figure (off the top of my head, dont have my price sheet right here with me) is $100 plus whatever shipping is to you.

Reconing isn't hard with a drop in kit, you've got to clean your basket that you have now and use a flapper wheel on a grinder (make sure you have a mask when using this, CA fumes are VERY uncomfortable on the eyes)

Nothing more then putting the shim in the motor and gluing the spiders down to the spider landing and the surround down to the surround landing and soldering the tinsels to the push terminals...

Thanks

i got the xtra 3rd magnet and cooling. is it possible i can send in my sub to yall to get fixd? Wen i had a technician look at it, he said i gave it too much power and blew the tinsel leads off the cone. Im not sure how it blew from too much power. 2 hifonics bxi1606 amps power my sub. any ideas??

Yes you can send it in for repair, but 9/10 a tinsel on a BTL is not too much power, but not having the subsonic set correct for the tuning of the system. Overexcursion is what will get those leads... not the power you have. We have people running quite a bit more than that (not that this is a stamp of approval to do so) and never have issues at all. I cant stress setting subsonic filters enough for high powered setups.

You can send it in to:

Id say itll be a shipping only deal. We can simply replace the lead at no charge if you cover shipping. Be sure to include a sheet of paper with your name, address, phone, and email to expedite the process.

Thanks.

I've uploaded photos of the damage, and it looks like the leads burnt holes into the layer beneath the cone. Check my gallery. would this need to be replaced? If so, it'll probably fall under a recone right?
