Got my 12" Q in today.

As I was admiring its' beauty, I noticed that it had 3 red terminals and 1 black. Shouldn't there be 2 Black (-) and 2 Red (+)?

May be a dumb question, but this should have no affect on playability should it?

grab a black marker...colour the 3rd red one black

Problem solved

Unless of course you actually want to know the correct polarity...

Take a battery (9V, 1.5V, whatever), and some wire.

Wire up the terminals on one coil.

Touch the wire to the battery terminals (negative to negative, positive to positive), if the sub cone extends outwards, then you have the terminals on the correct polarity. Repeat for the side that has the two red terminals, then you can figure out which one is the negative & mark accordingly.

Just stick the battery right on the terminals, no need for wire

Or use common sense and figure out that just about every single terminal out there has positive on the left and negative on the right.

Send me an email and a pic to [email protected] if you get a chance. The terminals are labeled + and - as well into the plastic... but gotta love the terminal manufacturer. Sorry :(

Too late now.

I took Supa_c's advice and used a sharpie to color the negative terminal black.

I think you can still tell because the black is not as bold. Can't get a picture of it though, because I've already installed the sub.

Thanks for the follow up though Scott.
