Will 15" BTL's work in a ported box for DD 9515 subs. Port area is 165" per sub and port is 9" deep. This is what I was told to use for the DD subs. This is a SPL set up only. I know this is more than FI recomends for port area. Total box area is about 17-18 cubic feet.

OK... how many subs and the total box for X number of subs is 17-18 cuft? Each sub has 165 sqin of port 9" long as well?

Im sure itll work fine, but normally a little tweaking on things will optimize them for the application.

For a 1990 Chevy ext. cab pickup. I was told this be Michael Jones. Build box as large as can and 165" port area per sub 7"-9" long port for 2 15" DD 9515 subs . If could would rather use 15" Fi BTL's. Area behind seats comes close to 18 cubic feet internal box area. If have a different recomendation for box design I'm willing to listen. Looking at using 2 Memphis 4kw amps and 16 volt charging system.

Any suggestions on what to use. Need ideas. Want to start build for next year as soon as I can.
