Yep, we sent our 12" BM prototype to JimJ without ever listening to it. A lot of people would say that's a pretty stupid thing to do. But we have enough confidence in the new BM line from auditioning the 10" model that we jumped out on a limb and send him the driver.

Jim has a prototype with a few things fixed vs. the 10" model - mainly the surround color - but not everything is finalized on this prototype. The only big thing left to do is to treat the dust cap for a different finish. But besides the latter, the driver Jim has will perform just like the production drivers will.

Jim sent me an email yesterday letting me know he got the driver and will be testing it this weekend with Chad Hicks. So between Chad and Jim, both sizes of BM prototypes are going to be put through the wringer this weekend!

I can't possibly imagine it doing poorly. It'll be interesting to see what Jim has to say about it.

I can't wait to hear their opinions on these new beasts. If they perform better than the old BMs, which you have guaranteed they do, they will be absolutely amazing drivers.

Good choice on the testers. When it comes to SQ, I trust "frostys"(still think that was a better name opinions and chad is no one to disregard either.
