Posted September 18, 200717 yr I thought I`d put up some scores from different sub set ups which I have tested in my standard 2.5 Cu.ft. box - 4" Aeroport tuning to 27Hz with 1x Directed 1100d amp.Here goes:Stereo Integrity Baby Magnum 12" in ISO: 1ohm Load / 1100wrmsPeak= 137.0dB @ 29Hz40Hz= 134.7dB33Hz= 135.6dB25Hz= 136.7dB20Hz= 133.7dB10Hz= 127.3dBTotal ((((Propper Droppers)))) Score = 134.1dBJBL Isobaric: 2ohm load / 700wrmsPeak= 134.8dB @ 33Hz40Hz= 133.3dB33Hz= 134.8dB25Hz= 133.8dB20Hz= 134.0dB10Hz= 126.7dBTotal ((((Propper Droppers)))) Score = 132.9dBBaby Magnum 12" DVC: 2ohm / 700wrmsPeak= 136.9dB @ 46Hz40Hz= 133.9dB33Hz= 132.8dB25Hz= 131.6dB20Hz= 133.0dB10Hz= 124.9dBTotal ((((Propper Droppers)))) Score = 132.2dBAdassa Audio 12" Prototype QVC: 2ohm / 700wrmsPeak= 134.5dB @ 33Hz40Hz= 130.7dB33Hz= 134.5dB25Hz= 131.9dB20Hz= 131.4dB10Hz= 125.9dBTotal ((((Propper Droppers)))) Score = 131.5dBJBL GT4 12" Normal: 4ohm / 450wrmsPeak= 135.3dB @ 46Hz40Hz= 133.9dB33Hz= 130.7dB25Hz= 129.5dB20Hz= 131.2dB10Hz= 123.6dBTotal ((((Propper Droppers)))) Score = 130.7dBHere are the totals in each SPL league:((((Propper Droppers)))) - Average Totals1: 134.1dB - Stereo Integrity Baby 12" - ISO Configuration2: 132.9dB - Pair of JBL in ISO configuration 3: 132.2dB - Stereo Integrity Baby 12"4: 131.5dB - Adassa Audio 12" Prototype5: 130.7dB - Single JBLPeak Freeqs:1: 137.0dB - Stereo Integrity Baby 12" - ISO Configuration @ 29Hz2: 136.9dB - Stereo Integrity Baby 12" @ 46Hz3: 135.3dB - Single JBL @ 46Hz4: 134.5dB - Adassa 12" Prototype @ 33Hz5: 132.9dB - Pair of JBL in ISO configuration @ 33Hz20Hz: 1: 134.0dB - Pair of JBL in ISO configuration2: 133.7dB - Stereo Integrity Baby 12" - ISO Configuration3: 133.0dB - Stereo Integrity Baby 12"4: 131.4dB - Adassa Audio 12" Prototype5: 131.2dB - Single JBL((((Outlaw Bass))) - 10Hz :1: 127.3dB - Stereo Integrity Baby 12" - ISO Configuration2: 126.7dB - Pair of JBL in ISO configuration3: 125.9dB - Adassa Audio 12" Prototype4: 124.9dB - Stereo Integrity Baby 12"5: 123.6dB - Single JBLYou can see by the results which subs or sub set up excel at low frequencies.You can also see which subs have a higher Peak performanceAnd it`s a good way to see how budget stuff can outperform or nearly match even more expensive stuff, even if you have to get two subs to do it. It still costs only Edited September 18, 200717 yr by Mega Heavy Bass
September 19, 200717 yr Thanks for posting the results Marcos! The little BM's aren't so little on the meter are they?
September 19, 200717 yr Author I`m pretty sure I can get them louder. If they were in a standard ported box the Peak SPL score would probably be over 140dB+But the ISO set up makes them play flatter, louder @ lower frequencies.BTW: The scores are done with the mic in this position. It`s the position I test in for ((((Propper Droppers))))I have it there because it`s roughly where your ears would be when listening. In the dB drag position I think it would be louder still. When I get the chance I`ll test the system in the dB drag (dash legal position) just to see the difference... September 24, 200717 yr And to think....you can get a BM 12 for $170 shipped right now. Why wouldn't you?
