September 18, 200717 yr First...*laughs*The new DP... like Bigfoot... except less pictures are out Can't wait to see em, Nick.
September 19, 200717 yr I wonder how much that 21" is goin to weigh. maybe 2-3 lbs more than the 12"......shouldn't be much, just the extra weight of the basket and cone.
September 19, 200717 yr hmm can i slap a 21inch sub in 5 cubes ported?80lol......you can always try probably going to need a little more than that though for maximum output.
September 19, 200717 yr I'll take 7. Hopefully I win the MAWF raffle, but if not, I'll have to open the wallet a bit.
September 21, 200717 yr Alright Nick...you used to keep me informed on these kind of things. I guess I'm out of 'the loop' now! Send some pics!
September 22, 200717 yr Hey Paul, long time no see......If you would start competing again, you might stay in the loop!!!
September 22, 200717 yr Yeah sure... 'in the loop' of guys living in a cardboard box and holding a sign that says 'Will work for subs'! It would be nice but I might have to go back to college for that. Or at least wait until the kids move out, which is only like another 18 years! Seriously though, I can't wait to see some pics! Glad to see you guys still doing your thing. I hope all is well with IA and your families.
September 22, 200717 yr LOL, man we and our families are doing very well. It's a little OT, but I got married recently. If you were still competing, it might have been you that broke the 180 mark instead of Alan Dante!!!
September 22, 200717 yr Where are the T/S parameters for the 18 and 21 inch? All I can find is for the 12 and 15 inch.
September 22, 200717 yr watts the rms of these? same as the old ones?id like to know this as well..If memory serves, they are rated at 1600RMS but we all know they'll take goobs and goobs more power then rated. Jon
September 23, 200717 yr They are rated at 1500 rms.....you know how our ratings work You can't find any specs on the 18's or 21's yet because they will not be released right now. 18's will come in a couple of months, and the 21's should be shortly after.
September 23, 200717 yr Could anyone tell me what the least amount of wattage i could power one of these Death Penalties (15") with in just a daily/normal ported setup? All i have in my possession is a Hifonics BX1500D, which I GUESS is, at least as everyone has always said for years, overrated, and an empty Powered for Sound Snail Shell enclosure originally built for a 2005 15" RE XXX..... Thank you much. Edited September 23, 200717 yr by Vasilios
