First the system:

Right now I plan on doing 2 12's ported or 2 10's ported, Q's of course. 2k watts total.

I will be running lots of mids and highs for "look" purposes as I am hoping to compete in shows, so I imagine around 1k watts, depending on stuff.

I have a 160 amp alt and the stock battery is a 730 ampere battery. I already plan on doing big 3. I will probably throw in an extra battery as well. Will I need a bigger alt or will a 160 amp alt work? I know it brings a lot of other factors in.

My amps are more than likely gonna be RF amps cause I can get a little deal on them.

Any other suggestions or ideas to ensure I have adequate power would be great. Thanks.

3k+ watts on stock alt hmm idk about that

I would say 2 of the kinetik 2400's or 2 of the Powermaster 2400's would probably cover you, in addition to your alt and wiring upgrades.
