Welcome to SSA first off, some people migth mention that grabbing a decent 6 channel would be the way to go. The JBL is a good unit for a great price, not sure what head unit you are running and what crossovers it has, that will dictate if you need an external crossover or not. I personaly have never had a 3way active but I have helped on a few. They are the hard to eq out, but once done right can sound very good. Also I have not used that DD, and not sure which JL tweeter you are referring to. Do you already have these pieces? If not, we have a good number of experienced SQ people who can really assist on choosing the right pieces.
