The rubber lip around the edge of sub is not aligned properly to the holes in the metal. I was just curious if it would damage the sub for me to peel the lip off and align it correctly. The only reason I would do this is so the people that install the sub dont slip up and just drill right through the metal instead of the holes designated. Thanks.

Thanks man, didnt know if it would cause some kind of problems when they are installed to the box and would let air through/etc.
