Is the BP option really for people who want to compete? I'm looking for SQ in my 15 Q i'm getting. Is it something I should get or for people who just want to compete>? Thanks.

its really dependant on what your powering it with.

if your staying around RMS i would say skip paying for it, but if you prefer to go over RMS get it for thermal purposes

I have it narrowed down to two amps. Memphis prd1000.1 or the Sundown SAE-1000D. I'm leaning more towards the Memphis. Is the BP option something I should be interested in?

I wouldn't bother with it.

The Q will be loud enough without having to run the amount of power that makes the BP option necessary.
