Posted October 1, 200717 yr How u doing FI, im from miami fl and i have a single cab dodge ram 1500 with 3 15" kicker cvx subwoofer in a sealed box. All powerd by 3 1100 MONOBLOCK MEMPHIS amplifiers. I have 2 kinetic batterys and a 250 amp alternator. I hit around 152.4 db. now i know that your bl 15 will fit in the box, but i only have 1.8 cubes per speaker. what do u suggest? Maybe getting the Q that also handles 1000 watts rms? basically what speaker will give me the most db's with the set up i have now? here is a pic of my set up.Thanks and i look foward to joining team FI Edited October 1, 200717 yr by rollinRAM
October 1, 200717 yr Fi doesn't recommend putting the BL (and BTL) in a sealed enclosure..I think the Q or SSD would do well in that enclosure
October 1, 200717 yr Author I know the Bl and BTL are recommended ported, so if i do go with the Bl's i would need to eliminate one of my 15's and run two 15's sharing the air space from the third, but in a ported box.
October 1, 200717 yr Author okay dimensions are...19" tallwith: 9 1/2 on top slanted to 11" on bottomlength: 60"so each speaker has 20" by 19" by about 9 1/4 mounting depth
October 1, 200717 yr IMO there are a few things you can do you can keep the box and the amps and run the q's in the same box i think itll probebly get louder but how much i cant tell you or you can dicth the 3 15's and go with 2 and expand the cubic feet per sub then go ported.... as far as going to a bl or a btl you will need more power then that means redoing your box and your amps......maybe grab another amp like that and 2 bl's give them 2.25 cube's each in a ported box and feed thjose guys 2000 each i am pretty sure youll be hitting great numbers with that......as far as what you are willing to do its up to you in opinion i'd just sell those kickers get 3 15 qs and your gtg.....
