i found this site while searching for info. on the fi subs. my car is a 98 nissan maxima. i listen to southern rap. the only thing i've bought so far are components (cdt hd-62/m6). i plan on getting a single q12 and putting it in a sealed enclosure fiberglassed into the wall of my trunk. what amp would you guys suggest? trying to stay away from the "bang for your buck" type stuff (which is all i know). something with a little more quality without going overboard. it wouldn't hurt if they made something that could power my comps as well (250rms @ 4ohms) cause i like stuff to match. thanks.

Sundown audio makes some pretty good amps. If you are willing to go used, older US Amps are my favorites.

May I ask why you're going with sealed when you listen to rap? I mean, I'm not complaining, it'll sound better :P but I'm curious why you're not going the typical peaky-and-boomy way everyone else does.

i've done all that before, and believe me i thought about doing it again. a couple reasons:

1)i wanna see what sq is all about

2)the car i'm building will be shown. doing a luxury/sport theme so i want a low key install

3)i might install air ride which will take up most of the trunk space

honestly, i don't know anybody with a sq system. i figured 1 12 with ~1000w will probably be as loud or louder than most systems on the street, but i'll have more clarity.

i'm probably going to use a sundown amp. i was reading about products on here for about 12 hours yesterday and they seem nice.
