hi, i am wondering which amp would be better, i will be running my front stage with one of the other and it will be active but the processor will be my hu ( alpine cda 9887). ok here are the choices: new Eclipse Xa4000 bought online so an iffy warrenty. or a B stock sax100.4b that the bottom of the amp is slightly dented but has a 1 year warrenty with sundown.

I like Eclipse stuff a lot, and most of the time it all sounds really good.

But you can't really beat Jacob's customer service and his Forum here.

It all comes down to whether you want less draw from your amp.

Another great point to consider. I don't know what electrical upgrades you've done, but if you want to keep the system under a certain cost, using amps that draw less current would be a wise choice.

I like to have matching amps, and I'm a huge fan of Sundown due to their quality and customer service (Jacob = A+++), so I personally would go with the Sundown. I will admit, though, that I have no experience with the other amp.
