well like i stated on someone elses thread, my tinsel lead broke and i really felt the woofer didn't sound the same anymore. i was just looking at it and noticed that the surround is starting to crack around where it meets the cone. and i also need a terminal which i broke a long time ago.

my question's.... do i order the recone an do it myself? never done it, so i'm kinda wanting to try it. do i send it back to fi and have them do it? i built a box for another guy in hawaii that has a btl and was wondering if they could do my tinsels like his? or, do i buy a new woofer, because shipping back and forth might be kinda pricey? any and all suggestions welcome and i hope someone from fi points me in the right direction as well.

looks like their recones arent that expensive...I am not sure on your model. But if you can do the work....it beats shipping the sub around.

i really thought i had a build log for this build. but here's a pic of the box and amps. the box is really not that big. i have pockets in the back where i can stash stuff.

any more suggestions?

eh philip order the recone and just do it and save some $$$$....

I'm on my phone now. I dont have a price list on here, but it's easy to do it yourself. all you have to do is glue down the spiders to the spider landing and the surround down to the surround landing and solder the tinsel leads to the terminals

not even a year old. i bought this in april and really like this woofer. not trying to warranty it just trying to get a recone and a terminal.

haven't been on here in a while and just did the recone yesterday. thank you scott! this was my first recone and i must say it looks really easy from the pics but dayum the glue that fi uses is hardcore.

good to hear its done now cant wait to hear it with the new recone on it...
