Well guy im new to this forum so Hi :D .

Now to the question...

I have just bought an 18" btl fully loaded with the spl option, and from what I read on here you cant play music at all with it wich is not my intentions. I want to be able to play music and not just a tone. I have just emailed trying to get my order changed to the Daily option. If it dosent go through will the Spl option really not be able to play my songs at all? Im really hoping I just didnt waste 500$...

As far as playing music goes, you can...however if i remember correctly the tinsels are shorter, and the cone is more stiffer. And is more buit towards a small range of notes. If notes play outside of the range, it could cause damage I am guessing. There's a link about why you should/shouldnt get one or the other...i'll try to find it.

basically:

Daily or SPL: Simply put, if you plan on listening to any type of music you MUST choose the daily option. If it is strictly for a fart/burp scenario then choose the SPL option. The reason we have these options is the gap tolerances between the two are different. The gap in the SPL woofer is much tighter and FAR less forgiving in comparison to the Daily option. The Daily option simply gives the coil more wiggle room inside of the gap to deal with the non-linearity tendancys that you can get into when you are using a sub in a daily driving scenario. Typically SPL applications deal with 1 note and it does not change, therefore we can make the gap much tighter and get all of the motor strength that we can out of it.

well I sent out emails trying to get the option on my order changed and well I really hope they can change it.

Hopefully someone will see your email.. If you sent an email...make sure you post any important info that could help them see your order faster.

I suggest also making sure you had emailed scott or nick?

yeh man do a phone call, they are quick at building though it will be close, at least it's a fully modded BTL they take a couple extra days.

Well im guessing my email must of got read quick b\c I just got a reply from scott and he said he will change it for me at the cost of waiting a few extra days wich I dont mind at all. WOOT WOOT :woot: SUCCESS :bananaDance:
