Posted December 30, 200717 yr previouse projects:a ported box we made for 2 12" L5's, tuned as low and as much air space as possable...my motto4th order S of .7 (as large as possible for flattest/widest responce as opposed to .4, peaked for SPL, narrow passband, highest gain) F3 20Hz...insane...tought me SO muchresin is EXPENSIVE...this box cost over $120!!! Curved corners...pricelessbefore routered/outside resinLanzar OPTI2000D does NOT have soft turn on as advertised. therefore, 2 avalanches were blown by a lanzar amp. Got skrewed on recone, never got 2 of them back.makin a ported box for 2 12" L5's for a friendrounding a corner more after routeredLanzar OPTI2000D does NOT have soft turn on/off...it blew my second ava with turn off pop when I didn't have the side on the bandpass...freeair...bottomed out hard. Had to cut the speaker out, converted the 20HURTZ bandpass into a 5.1cube@21Hz ported box. Best box i've ever had. Ran a 15" Type R and 15" MOFO in it.front of the 15L7 box 3.5cubes@27Hz if i remember right. without the face on yet

December 30, 200717 yr Author opti CAP that got stolen. I will never run caps again. seriousely, whats the point? EXTRA BATTERIES!i wanted to keep the cone, Chad said I could. Good thing, I never got my subs back, all i have left nowgod the old ones are uglyshes like a cat, loves to play in boxes! December 31, 200717 yr Author you learn as you go, some places just have better service than others. I have nothing but the best of luck with Kicker and Bob at Creative Sound Solutions, where I've learned to avoid Lanzar (Quality Car Audio parent company, owning Pyramid, Pyle, and others too), AA, and obviousely Audiobahn back in my less educated days.I'm fortunate to have what I have, most of it I didn't earn myself. (sorry all you shop guys )I hate talkin audio to people around here, all they know is old school stuff or stuff thats in the local shops...the big names. I say "Adire/RE Audio" and their like "HUH?"
