Getting used to the BLs... so got a ?... well first off the rear deck is cut out in the center already to allow more air into the car (rear seat's don't fold down). When I had 12s I had a box design with the port facing up but put in the old box with port facing foward and it was louder that way. But with that design there was ~ 4" gap between the port and the cutout.. If I designed a new box that had say aeros coming out right to the rear deck, or just the port designed to fit flush in the rear deck think it would get louder? But I've been told the issue was I have to completly seal off the trunk from the car to make it work.... any input is apprecited.. thank you .

I can't see how sealing off the trunk is going to help you with this. If the seats folded down then maybe. If you use aeroports like your thinking you might run into a problem taking the box out or putting it in. To flush mount the ports you'll have to seal any air leaks around the port tube while the box is in the trunk. If you mount the aeroports just below the opening in the rear deck you may be bale to remove the box if needed.

Yea probally right about the aeros... I could make an extended port and slide in from the top and seal it but still have it removable.

i have a set up like that in my 62 chevy

i made a bandpass 4th order and ported it threw the rear deck as long as the port gos a lil over the rear deck only an 1/8 inch needed should have no problems i didnt need to seal off the trunk

for it being removeable i used 4 inch tubes made them a tight fit slide them out the box comes right out

IF you made them to slide out of the box what did you use to seal them into the box?

you cut the hole very tight no sealing needed!

later i did put hot clue around the base of the ports but made no differnce the box is not coming out anymore
