Posted July 30, 200421 yr im getting 2-15pbx and going to power it with a optidrive2000d amp (2000w x 1 @.5 ohm)....id like a 70/30 (SPL/SQ) spit, so if anybody has used a setup like this please tell me what you thought of the sound and loudnest of the sub....
July 30, 200421 yr Well, I was pleased with my PBX in my Brahma box; 3cu', 28Hz, ~30sq" port. I'd double that for two of hem. It would be a good start. I had 1200w going to it sound pretty nice.
July 31, 200421 yr You could go that route. I have noticed that it is extremely capably of kicking out nice smooth lows at power much over what it's rated for. If you do that, personally, I would still tune it lower. But hey, go ahead and give it a try. I doubt you'll be disappointed either way.
