January 23, 200817 yr Author should be a fairly easy fit, but we do need dimensionscrap, ok i'll have to measure it tomorrow.sorry im a complete newb when it comes to this kind of stuff but what exactly am i measuring because my trunk has alot of places that are narrower than others. Do i measure from surface to surface when it comes to height (hence i tried to get measurements before but i noticed the 6x9's are quite lower)Sorry again for the stupid questions lol.
January 23, 200817 yr Author Measure the max dims...then we'll have something to work with.Thanks!-NickOk i got 36 x 36 x 18width = 36 in.length = 36 in.height = 18 in.Q15 SpecsDUAL 2Fs: 24.9 HzRe: 1.4 Ohms/coilQms: 5.72Qes: .54Qts: .49Mms: 279gCms: 0.15mm/NSd: 810cm^2Vas: 135 lSpl: 87.7dB 1W/1mBl: 15.1 N/AXmax: 27mmRms: 1000WSealed box: 2-2.6 cuftPorted box: 2.8-4 cuft @ 28-33HzSub OD: 15.625”Cut ID: 14.125”Mounting depth: 8.500”Displacement: 0.19cuftDidn't want a box that's going to be HUGE but still works well...Hope this helps! January 24, 200817 yr You are looking for sealed, so it is very simple. . .you need around 2.6 ft^3 with driver displacement. That is roughly 4500 in^3.you can make the box whatever size you want as long as the internal legth x width x height multiplied together roughly equals 4500.Example. It needs to be 15" high internally for the driver to fit. If you made it 24" wide (22.5" internal), then you could calculate the internal depth as:4500 / (15 x 22.5) = 13.33 or 13.25 to make it easy.Your internal box would be 15 H x 22.5 W x 13.25 D = 2.59 ft^3I would face the sub rearward and double the rear baffle that the sub mounts on. Use 3/4" wood, so the external box dimensions will be:16.5" H x 24" W x 15.5" DThat shoudl be pretty easy to follow. If you need more help, let us know.Brian
