Posted January 23, 200817 yr so will 3 ssd 12's work in a 5cf box tuned at 30hz work? i have a thing from subwoofer tools.com right now im tryin to figure fit the subs on the box design on google sketchup heres the link to the box for 3 ssd 12's i guesshttp://subwoofertools.com/forum/ported-box...mp;Fs=&CE=0 Edited January 23, 200817 yr by alaskanbass
January 23, 200817 yr That's actually a little too small for 3 SSD's and a port. Go for 5.5cuft after port and woofer displacement.
January 24, 200817 yr Author how about 6.. and i cant figure out how to get the port to be a regular L shape.. cuz all of its goin into an older style lincoln.. and the trunk is HUGe..
January 24, 200817 yr Lol, 6 is probably ok. The recommended box ported max per SSD is 2.5cuft iirc. But if you shoot for 6cuft before port and woofer displacement, I think that should sound nice.
January 24, 200817 yr The copper coils allow the subs to have a similar to standard version response in a smaller enclosure.... if size is the issue, then I would definitely look to the copper coil option. Thanks,Scott
