Posted February 13, 200817 yr I have a JBL GTO 1200.1 II amp. Right now I have 2 Orion HP 12s on it sealed in 1.2 cubes each. I hear that the Fi BL's are efficient. Would my amp and a Fi BL 12 in 2.5 - 2.8 cubes ported slam? Also how is the SQ on the BL's and do they drop low?
February 15, 200817 yr They do drop pretty well... but my main concern is that the GTO doesnt have a subsonic filter on it. Which is a no-no in ported setups. You can always pick up one of the Harrison Labs adjustable filters and that will help. They are like $40. Only issue is that the pair of HPs will be more efficient from about 10Hz above the single BL12s tuning... although the BL will be louder around tuning. Have you thought about porting what you have? Id love to sell a sub, but would rather you get what you are looking for for less if you can. Id gladly help design one if you have the space as well.Thanks,Scott
