Posted August 23, 200421 yr Topic speaks for itself. !st of is a Concept sub. Don't quite think it is supposed to stay like that.
August 23, 200421 yr Author Next is the JL W3. Hmm, don't think it is supposed to do that either. Reminds me of a slinky getting all tangled up, now that was a PAIN!
August 23, 200421 yr Author Guess we know the excursion limits on an HCCA. Tough way to find out though.
August 23, 200421 yr Author Lastly, I can't remember the whole story on the James Jean Atoic sub explosion. If I remember correctly the sub was hooked to two microwaves (Audiobahn SPL5000)'s and a flame literrally came out of the sub! Not sure about the truth to it, but there does seem to be some damage!
August 23, 200421 yr Admin I am amazed that the atomic held it, well at least for some strech of time
August 26, 200421 yr Definitely fried I love it.The Atomic looks like my toast from the other day.- Steve
September 10, 200421 yr Admin I would love to build a Street B install with 2 Vega's and a US Amps 1000 or RF bd 1000 and make fools of these punks with a trillion watts
September 10, 200421 yr I miss my old LS10s. Vegas rocked back in the day. Still sound decent now, and are cheap!
September 10, 200421 yr Admin I miss my old LS10s. Vegas rocked back in the day. Still sound decent now, and are cheap! thats the point, I could do a pair of 15's in a huge box ported and run maybe 1100 watts total, or maybe a ZR 360 on each

Had 2 15s in 4cubes and they were incredible. I found a place in the web where they are all cheap as hell. New V-max series is like $50-$60.
September 10, 200421 yr Never heard them, but the Vegas were good, so I don't see why the newest line wouldn't be better.
September 10, 200421 yr Admin I was just thinking of a fun super cheap classic SPL install, any other suggestions?
September 10, 200421 yr Classics, well, my all time favorite subs are the SPL160s from SS. USD has some nice new subs as well, and the venerable 15.
November 4, 200717 yr Admin Due to the age of the thread, I had removed the pictures off the server (if they were there) a while ago to conserve space.
