Posted February 14, 200817 yr Ok, i just purchased an Autotek 750.1, and was told that it should put out just under 1K watts. Ive been trying to decide if i want to buy another Q for this amp so i can upgrade later on, or buy a SSD for now. This is kinda a budget build until i get enough cashflow to do what i truly want. (which is 2 15" Qs with BP ported) So my main question is, will the SSD and the Q sound basically the same off 1K watts, with the same enclosure, or will the SSD be louder since its taking a lot of power for it, vs the Q which is really just getting started. Also, what are the main advantages/disadvantages to both drivers? Ive owned a Q before and loved it, so im pretty set on staying with Fi. Thanks for any input/opinions/suggestions.
February 17, 200817 yr Q is supposed to be more sq oriented... If you loved your q then go for something you know you like or you could do the ssd but it will at least need flat wind probably and then you could sell that once you get money for a second amp and the two 15" q's... You are gonna get another amp for them right?

So now im happy! The output cannot be determined until tested in you vehicle.
