Hopefully someone can help. I found a 3hp motor, but it only has the 4 bolt layout where the basket secures. I've seen a few of these motors rebuilt w/ fi softparts so i know it can be done. My question is what cone assembly, or coils and spiders should I get (assuming I use FI) to make it perform similar to an eclipse TI? Also, what basket should I use, or is there one that I can use with a four bolt pattern? I need some guidance and am a little knew to this so bare with me please, and maybe a price range so I know what I'm getting into. Thanks for the help.

Also, when do the new woven tinsels come into production, and will all products be switched to this? It's something I'd definitely wait for if I did choose FI.

Have to send the motor in to have the top plate machined...we only use the 12 spoke basket with our parts, none of the eclipse baskets will work with our parts because they use 10" spiders...

Thanks!

How much would that cost? So would one with a six bolt pattern work? I might just have to keep searching for another motor.

theres been a few threads about it, you have top send the motor in to have holes machined to fit the standard 6 hole 12 spoke basket Fi uses. Its about $125 for a 12, 135 for 15, and $145 for a 18. or pretty close. that includes new soft parts/basket. A whole new sub :)
