Ok, so I'm wondering if the Q is the right choice for me now. Roughly how much power will a fully loaded Q handle? I plan on running the 1500D at 1 ohm, so I suppose around 1600W.

Thanks,

Trevor

You'll need to baby the gains on the 1500D. Even with the BP power the Q won't take the full brunt of that amp for very long. You'll want to send around 1200w at the most too it.

agreed, very strong amp

Heh, ok. How about a loaded BL at that power?

I'd rather buy the sub first based on listening preferences, then the amp...

But that's just me.

Boooooorrrrrrrring.....

J/K.

Actually a great piece of advice.

I would've saved a bunch of money over the years had I listened to that.

Heh oops. Well, I got a 1500D for a good deal, so no turning back from that. I'm not much of an SQ seeker. Just out to rattle things. The BP might be the ideal choice I think.

So long as you are sensible about it you'll be fine..i mean i'm gonna have a little over 1kw per door in the truck on the mids/highs...

Not going to use all of it, but there's nothing wrong with head room. If you abuse it it will bite you though :)

Thanks!
