Hey everyone,

So i recently sold my 2 audiobahn 12'' sub woofers, and my amplifier. I have the money now to buy my 15''BTL fully loaded. I had a few questions that i am still not sure about.

1.What should my "ohms" be if im using a mono amplifier.

2.If my box is tuned to 3.25feet at 30HZ is that too little feet, and too low HZ?

3. Does anyone know a good mono amp to go with 1 fi BTL 15inch

4. Also is a BTL legit 2000RMS?

i really aprciate all help, thanks everyone.

Depends on what amp you have, although to get the kind of power you'll need for the BTL you'll probably end up with an impedance between a half and 2 ohms...
2.If my box is tuned to 3.25feet at 30HZ is that too little feet, and too low HZ?

On the low end of the recommendations, but they do recommend 3-5cF...

3. Does anyone know a good mono amp to go with 1 fi BTL 15inch
Depends on your budget...
4. Also is a BTL legit 2000RMS?

It'll take that power, yes.

1.What should my "ohms" be if im using a mono amplifier.

Depends onthe amp. More than likely a dual 2 ohm sub for a 1 ohm load.

2.If my box is tuned to 3.25feet at 30HZ is that too little feet, and too low HZ?

That size/tuning will work great. I personally would tune it at 32-35 Hz for a little extra output. It will still have plenty of low end.

There are too many to list. What is your budget?

4. Also is a BTL legit 2000RMS?

Yes it is.

Ha! Jim and I answered at the same time and got the same answers. Must be right :)

haha thanks guys,

im looking to spend honestly no more then $300. you guys answered all my questions great except i still dont think i know what these "ohms" are. can anyone explain

Thanks alot

why a btl???

An ohm is a measurement of resistance.

Each coil on the BTL is a 2 ohm coil (what you should get). An amplifier will put out varying degrees of power depending on how much resistance is on it. So if you have a sub that can be wired to 1 ohm (DVC2 coils) your amp may put out more power than say at 2 ohms.

are the ohm fi's 2 ohm cause the fi 1 ohms are not 1 ohm.

I have no idea what you said.

o chit... what i ment, was... are the dual 2 ohm fis... really 2 ohms a VC...... because the the fi dual 1 ohms, are not 1 ohm each VC.... thay are dual 0.70

1 ohm nominal...impedance changes depending on cone position, so you end up with an "average" of 1 ohm for the entire bandwidth.

Ok so it would be in my best interest to get my 15'' BTL with 2ohms instead of one? should i get it universal or no?

Thanks for all the help everyone i really appreciate it
