Posted February 18, 200817 yr built new box today..waiting for it to dry now.total volume is 3.4 cubes gross.port is 2.25x14x27long so net volume for sub is 2.85 plus the port which is .5 cubes.hows that sound on paper?and whats it tuned to?around 30 i think.
February 19, 200817 yr Author wow!sub sounds great, clean, and shows promise to be loud!after it breaks in.how long should the sub be played at reasonable levels before i can expect full performance?Im pleasantly surprised at how little the sub moves while playing.it has good control, considering how soft it is out of the box.so what about 4 or 5 hours of playtime should be good for break in.
February 20, 200817 yr I never "break in" any speakers, and I haven't had many die on me at all, and I've overpowered them quite a bit. There's really not much you can heat cycle on a subwoofer anyhow.Just crank it up and enjoy it.
