Hello, Does anyone know what type of metal the BTL basket is, along with the exposed metal on the magnet? I would imagin Nick knows. My best guess would be aluminum but im not sure. also what type of material is used to paint the Basket?

Baskets are a type of Aluminum.

Top plate, t-yuck, back plate is also a type of aluminum.

The actual slugs are made from ferrite.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

They have to be steel since aluminum is non-magnetic. And probably low carbon steel at that.
