February 23, 200817 yr Might be wrong but it looks like an adapter made so that when you replace your factory stereo with aftermarket one, you can still use the factory amp in the car. And if that's correct it may do it by using High Level inputs rather than rca jacks. But details on that, i'm clueless.

But details on that, i'm clueless.thats exactly what it is... im just confused on how it integrates with the speaker lines of the hu.heres more info if that helps:The signal level can be adjusted from a maximum of 9.5 Volts rms down to zero volts. This feature was included for optimizing the S/N of system and is a must for competition or demo systems. The NE-684V is fully transformer isolated with phase and frequency compensation to prevent noise and damage to aftermarket or OEM components. The NE-684V is safe and easy to install. The NE-684V features four floating speaker level inputs and four floating speaker level outputs. To alter the signal level of the NE-684V, simply squeeze the plastic lid on the long sides and lift up on the top. There are four small trim pots inside that are factory pre-set to the maximum signal level. We recommend leaving the level as high as possible for maximum signal and minimal noise.
February 23, 200817 yr ah ha, now i know.Factory internal amp must be 4 channel... or should be for this adapter. Any extra channels may not work considering this is a 4 channel adapter.You would take each of the 4 channels from your aftermarket HU and wire them into the INPUT on this adapter. You would then take all of the OUTPUTS from this adapter and wire them to your amp or wire harness in your car, however it is in there.This is just like trying to hookup an amp to a factory stereo, same concept. Use high level inputs because most factory stereos do not have preouts.

February 23, 200817 yr On a side note, pretty good company Ive ordered a line driver from them really fast shipping and a good product. Id have no problem ordering from them again if I needed something of that nature.
February 23, 200817 yr It's just a level matcher so you don't peak the input side of your factory amp.
