vs

2 10" cv vmax

runing off a kenwood excelon kac-x10d 600rms at 2ohms

i listen to rock, metal, alternative rock, etc

accuracy is my main objective here.

ported or sealed?

thinking sealed is better for tighter bass

budget is about $180 for subs

any other recommendation in this price range

We just had a member purchase the Vmax to replace his Adire Audio Shiva. He had thought the Shiva was bad, but that wasn't the case. Anyway, in a head to head, he didn't like the V-Max at all.

Check this post out, and then read through that thread if you get a chance, as it details the V-max pretty good.

If accuracy is your main goal, perhaps describing what front stage it needs to blend with would help. There are tons of sub options...the cv wouldn't be one of them though.

no trying to start an argument here, but in the other thread the guy put the CV v-max 12 in 1ft3 sealed and was dissapionted with the output. For the price, in a correct sized ported box I've been pretty impressed with the CV vmax. Is it a top line SQ sub. no but for under $100 done right they can get LOUD and sound pretty good....

i got polk db 5.25 in the doors and db 1000's mounted by the door lock controls

unforutitly running off my sony cdx gt310

and db6x9s in the rear deck for fill
