I hope this is posted in right place....

Two questions:

1.) What is the RMS and peak wattage for a single 12" BL with the dual2, flatwind, daily and pchamfer options? The reason I am asking is because I seen on Fi 's site that it says 1000w/rms, but everyone is highly reccomending the sundown 1500d (which i am about to get.) So, why is that so if it is only rated for 1000watts? Does adding those options bring it up?

I had a new custom box built by Sound Advice here in florida and the guy who was instlling it says to me that I will not notice too much of a difference in swithcing from a RF Punch 1000w/rms amp to a 1500 watt/rms amp ( in this case to the sundown 1500d).....

2.) is this so?????? because i was about to purchse one soon.

it's possible that you might not tell that much difference when switching amps... or you might because you are getting a proper enclosure for your sub. It really depends on how good your hearing is really, you'll find out soon, hehe.

and about the "new" rms rating - i'm not really for sure.

I know fully loaded with cooling, it should be around 1500w.

With what you want, maybe 1100-1200. Not to say that 1500w amp isnt a good idea. It is, just don't clip and you're fine.

the pchamfer and flatwind coil adds power handling to the sub, so if you get the sub loaded, it will take imo 1500-1800 watts depending on application (SPL or Daily)

And like shizzon said, you wont be able to tell the differnece between the 2 amps if you swaped them because going from 1000-1500 watts is a slim differnce, you MUST have amazing hearing to notice a differnece
