How do Havocs do sealed? I know they have plenty of displacement but I am ignorant when it comes to specs and was just wondering how they perform sealed, were they designed with sealed in mind, or ported. Or maybe its both like the Q. The woofers look great, btw.

I was wondering if it would be worth trying 3 12's sealed in my rear deck off a sundown 3000d. or Would I be better off with 2 ported on the 3000d. I have a ava in my truck in 4 cubes or so (can't remember) tuned to 28hz, and it gets stupid low and loud, but the top end is really lacking, I don't wanna have this problem in my baby (95 Impala SS)....

2 ported would be louder than 3 sealed.

To get the higher bass loud again without tuning higher, try building a smaller box.

Build one around AA's lowest recommendations so you have more potential to raise the output a little in the higher frequencies.

Although by doing this, the low end does not become as efficient. So, in a way, it is like tuning higher...

IF you went sealed, yes the low end would be great and gradually get louder, good ol typical sealed sound. In terms of higher frequencies, 50hz+, if you desire to keep tuning below 30hz, sealed may be the best option for you.

Your low end won't be as powerful as a ported design tuned below 30hz but the higher frequencies should excel compare to ported tuned under 30hz.

If you want more top end, a Havoc might not be your best choice. I say that because the Havocs play low at the expense of the top end.

3 Chaos12s ported might work out better for you. The Chaos series work best in small ported ported boxes. From my experience, they have more top end output.

I don't want more top end, I want more top end than my ava, which has no at all, it rolls off very early.
