Posted March 19, 200817 yr hey all im really sold on getting a bl 15 for my car. i was just wondering how much it will cost to get it shipped to montreal since it states on the fi site that shipping only free in the states. im also wondering if the flatwind coil is good to get if i plan to use the sub daily (will it give much better sound).
March 19, 200817 yr Flatwind doesn't do anything for the sound, it only enables the sub to handle a higher amount of heat (power) due to more surface to cool itself.
March 19, 200817 yr If better sound is desired, I'd go with the copper coils, myself. But since you're interested in a BL anyway, that wouldn't make much sense.

March 20, 200817 yr Author thanks guys, i guess ill opt for the flatwind coil then if it`ll help cool the sub and possibly make it last longer. i was also wondering if there was a massive difference in bass between the btl and bl sub, cause if there is i wouldnt mind too much paying an extra hundred bucks or so if the difference is enormis. also what would be the ideal number of watts to run a bl or a btl for everyday use. most of all i would like to know how much fi charges to ship outside of the u.s.!!! thanks guys

Generally speaking is louder on the mic as well..
