Putting a brand spankin new 15" Q dual 2ohm in a 97 honda accord. This is for daily music kinda stuff, no comps, I just want it to be clean and wang on the lows. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with these trunks and knows what can fit in em. I am thinking that ported would sound best but am open to all suggestions. Also, if ported should I go with slot port, aero, other?

If my measurements are correct, Max we're looking at 17 tall x 32 wide x 22 deep.

Will a ported 3.0 ft^3 sound as nice as 4.0 ft^3?

Any help would be great

pretty dependant on your power input as to the box side. either size box will fit in the car no problem, for "lows" in that car port and sub back, for a cleaner sound if your going to have the back seat down all the time port and sub toward the cabin. either way with the proper tuning it should sound decent. i recommend a 32-33hz box with about 3and a quarter to 3 and a half cubes with recommended RMS on the sub.

Here's my first attempt at a design: 4.0 cu ft @ 32Hz

http://www.subwoofertools.com/forum/ported...mp;Fs=&CE=0

As simple as it is I have a hard time understanding it. Is the red line the side where I would mount the sub? With 1 15" would I need to double baffle? (Means 2 red lines right?) Are Inside braces needed?

Seat would be up all the time, running a KX.1200.1 Does close to 1500 rms, any way I can limit that to only send 1000rms at any given time? I don't wanna blow anything..

Running a KX.1200.1 - Does close to 1500 rms - Any way I can limit that to only send 1000rms at any given time?

I run a 15" Q with BP off of the same amp and it takes the power fine - Box is 4.0 cu ft @28hz

If you want to limit the power coming from that amp to the sub you'll do that by turning the gain down.
