got my mj18 installed, just no decent power to push it, using a pioneer gm-5200t FTL. thinking of buying a punch 150 25 to life, any one know if they are able to push what the birthsheets say? (1000w)

It's a birth sheet.. of course it does what it says it does.

i hope you have some sound deadner on your trunk lid/top wall. I ran a 15 like that once and had to pull it out because of the rattles.

How much can these MJ-18's handle? sealed vs. ported?

The rating is 600 watts RMS, but folks have pushed 1kw in both configs provided its clean.

and i must say i wasnt too sure of a 18 for $116, sounded like a pyle-boss kinda deal. but the sound quality, and output truely is compareable to much more pricey woofers.

the comment from the local car audio shop was..... "well it looks like a no-nonsense driver", then he heard it, and said "that's only 350 watts!"

im a mach 5 fan now.

ya they are priced so low that they make you want to go buy a beater with a heater just to have a reason to buy some 18's..lol

dont go much over 1000 for very long. i did out of stupidity and broke one the leads. and why didnt mine come with a birth sheet?

maybe you bought yours refurbished? or it was a factory return.

Bought it off of ssa. didnt say anything about being refurb or anything but who knows.

The amp comes with a birthsheet not the sub.

There are no "refurb" MJ's that I know of.
