Posted March 29, 200817 yr So I heard the MAW's were being discontinued. Any truth to this? And will this mean the MJ-18's too? I think an 18" that can fit in 4cuft ported is way to cool to discontinue.
March 29, 200817 yr That would be too bad if they were because they are good subs at a good price and allow people to get good systems who wouldn't have been able to before the Maws. I could see it as possible though as the IXL line looks to be much better than the Maw line and if the price differential isn't much you'll be getting even better bang for your buck.
March 29, 200817 yr Yes, I'm afraid so. The MAW-10, 12 and 15 will be no more. The line has been available for more than two years. Time for bigger and better things. Best,Mark
March 30, 200817 yr Sorry to hear it. They are great subs.Any sort of very low budget replacement in mind? Or will the IXLs and SPLs be the lineup for a while now?
March 30, 200817 yr i have 4 for sale humm maybe i could keep them and resell them later at a super collector price? jk
March 30, 200817 yr You should sell your 4 to me. So I can run 8 off 2 Massive P3000s Edited March 30, 200817 yr by Stu Padasso
March 30, 200817 yr Thats a shame. My maw-15 has been going strong for a year now, never let me down. Do you have any plans on keeping a low priced beginner line like the maw's have been?
March 30, 200817 yr Time will tell. I'm moving ahead with a few things right now, so don't fully discount it. Of course, if I had a massive influx of funding from nowhere, things could progress much, much quicker...
March 31, 200817 yr Bad timing... I just threw all my giant bags of money into the river yesterday. Should have said something earlier Mark.
April 1, 200817 yr Well, if it was the Saskatchewan River you threw them into, I'll wait for them at Lake Winnipeg. They should make it in good time provided they don't get weighed down by the sludge.
April 1, 200817 yr Admin I am MAW fan, was a steal of a car audio driver for the money. Total different animal in sound from the MJ line.
April 2, 200817 yr Dammit I was planning on grabbing a couple of MAW12's and putting them into sonotubes for my new ride this year

April 3, 200817 yr Dammit I was planning on grabbing a couple of MAW12's and putting them into sonotubes for my new ride this year The IXL likes the tube I can't do a 15incher though, it'd have to be a 12, preferably a pair
April 3, 200817 yr could always use the ixl-12 no clue on the release date, but was reading the proto types have been out for awhile Edited April 3, 200817 yr by ddeitz
April 3, 200817 yr Little birdie told me the IXL-10 and 12 are in production. We must have the same bird. He told me they should be here in May!
April 3, 200817 yr Damn, I have to get a review written asap. Let me say this, the IXL-10 is a pleasure to listen to.
April 4, 200817 yr I can promise you the IXL 12 performs, I have been listening to one for a couple months
April 4, 200817 yr hmmm, wish some of us others could have a go at the IXL, lol. the maw12 surely performs far better then it's price would suggest. definitely the best "budget" driver i have ever used. adn i use the term budget very lightly as the only thing budget about the maw, IMO, was the price.wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
April 4, 200817 yr Admin Little birdie told me the IXL-10 and 12 are in production. We must have the same bird. He told me they should be here in May!When that little birdie started talking, did it start something like this?:"Eh hoser, .......... IXL........... blah blah blah........IXL ......... dontcha know?
