April 4, 200817 yr I would avoid them.If you're trying to find amps that are worth it, I would look for used Alpines, RF's, PG's (Titanium & Tantrum series in particular for your power needs), etc...maybe older Soundstream and Orion as well, but nothing of the new stuff.Even a JBL BP1200.1 that's a few years old would do the job...

April 5, 200817 yr C'mon. Being a n00b is one thing, we're all n00bs in something, but there's a difference between not knowing something, and bothering to make threads and ignoring any advice given in them. I don't really care what direction he goes in, it just seems like a big waste of time when he's already made up his mind. I'd rather help people that might actually be willing to be helped.I give up.

He listed a few good companies that have quality amplifiers. For example, it would probably be better in the long run to buy something like a Kicker ZX 1000.1, Sundown SAE-1000, or PG Xenon 1200.1, just to list a few random examples. They have a great track record and will last. Trying to shoot for the most "ratted" power while sacrificing quality might not be the best choice. Amplifiers that are used 5,6, 7 days a week need to be more durable then competition amplifiers which might get 75 burps out of them and may never even reach normal operating temperature.
