Posted April 10, 200817 yr Iwould like to know from anyones experience with the Q series what are your thoughts compare to Image dynamics plz honest opinion if you heard both thanks for the help
April 10, 200817 yr Admin The Fi Q is a very good driver when used for it's intended purpose. Which ID models were you referring to? If you meant, IDMAX, they are in the same general genre as the Fi Q.
April 10, 200817 yr Granted ndmustang is involved with FI. I still respect his opinions as he is a very honest ( and blunt ) man. Ask him his opinion and you will get the honest truth. He has played with a few id subs in his time
April 10, 200817 yr Although I haven't had experience with ID, I am the happy owner of a Q12". I can't imagine someone being unhappy with one.
April 10, 200817 yr Although I haven't had experience with ID, I am the happy owner of a Q12". I can't imagine someone being unhappy with one. I have listened to the q's several times in a couple different enclosures, even built enclosures for a couple. Haven't heard one yet I didn't like. Of course I can say the same thing about ID. I have heard, owned, installed several in many different applications. Depending on which ID he's comparing to the Q ( ID max is the closest apple to apple comparison imo) , I don't really think he can go wrong with either. Build the enclosure properly and be happy
April 10, 200817 yr The little ID8v3 i've got in the 4 runner is definitely not my favorite sub...but for the 28 bucks that i paid for it, i can't find something that works with the front stage better....Granted i havent put any of our 8's in there, i don't feel the need to. It sounds fine like it is IDMax is a solid sub, and would be most comparable to the Q...However at the end of the day it all comes down to the install .
April 10, 200817 yr Which ID model? Not really useful to just compare companies like that...I have to say, the IDW is sweet

April 10, 200817 yr Author thanks for the replies I was meaning the IDMAX I was thinking of putting a 12" in my civic and 2 12" or 15" in the town car and plz keep your opinions coming I live in the bahamas and want to blow everybody away with these setups
April 10, 200817 yr both are great subs..but the idmax does not come in 15's..so if i had to choose between the 2 id go with the fi q..its much cheaper and i believe it will give you the same amount of output..ive had many people who have owned both tell me the out was just about the same but the idmax did have the edge in sq..
