April 13, 200817 yr Doesn't sound like it can do active...I'd find a unit that does, no reason not to if you're already looking at a five-channel and starting from scratch

April 13, 200817 yr I'm not familiar with many Pioneers, I know you could find older model Alpines in that budget, though. Someone who's more knowledgeable about the Pio line could step in here...
April 13, 200817 yr what size wiring kit would i need for the 700.5?4 gauge would be plenty, but no harm in going bigger either.what kind of setup for the rl-i are you looking at?wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
April 13, 200817 yr A sealed RL-i 8" and that set run active, with the right install and tuning, would work well for that
April 13, 200817 yr You could save some budget on the 720 set and upgrade to the 800prs h/u and then run the drivers active.
April 13, 200817 yr Author what speakers would u recommend if i run active? i listen to mostly rock/metal
April 14, 200817 yr I still have a set of Seas components for sale. They should work nicely in your active setup.-fp
April 14, 200817 yr I have a 700.5 sitting in the garage. That thing has never met a speaker that it didn't like.
April 17, 200817 yr Author think since i got a zx1000.1 layin around i may just get 1 single 4 ohm sub to run off it. that will give it around 500w and if that aint enough i can alway buy another sub and run the amp at 2 ohms. Edited April 17, 200817 yr by 02xblazer
April 27, 200817 yr Author ended up getting some phoenix gold comps.. now im leaning towards getting a ssa icon 10 to run my zx1000.1 at 2 ohms giving the sub 1156w in a sealed box
April 27, 200817 yr I missed the part where you were looking for a Pioneer with active crossovers. I've still got my Pioneer DEH-P5900iB for sale with the XM Radio module. Both are in very good shape with the original packaging. PM me if you're interested.
April 28, 200817 yr Author will one icon 10 handle the power of the zx1000.1? also what size sealed box would u reccomend? i listen to rock/metal
